OrganizingLA Tip: Charitable Donations

As a Los Angeles-area Professional Organizer, I've been using the amazing ItsDeductible software from TurboTax and just recently introduced the system to my Clients as an added bonus.  I use it to account for each and every item donated to thrift stores as we clear the clutter.  It automatically values your donations using a simple method:  the established guidelines from the IRS.  Press print, and a simple report pops out with the item name, value (good, fair, etc.) and the price.  How simple is that?

Who would have thought that Uncle Sam values your unbeloved Stock Pot at $26 bucks and that unheard Russian Rapsody two-setter you bought in 1989 at $16?

Save time.  Save on taxes.  Stop guessing.
