Uma Thurman is not the only celebrity talking about her organizational issues during spring fling.
Actors Hilarie Burton and Liev Schreiber see themselves as a "Treasure Hunter" (Burton) and "A Neatness Neurotic" (Schreiber).
Hilarie Burton, the 23 year actress of the WB's One Tree Hill showed her Wilmington, NC three-bedroom home in the Spring, 2006 issue of InStyle Home. Burton's home is bursting with unique character, including a coffin, a set of clarinets, dutch clogs and a rack of shirt collars:
"The actress describes her design philosophy as "organized chaos": A tableau may look casual, but every object has been carefully chosen."
"We don't like to call what we do antiquing," says Burton. "We prefer to call it treasure hunting."
Liev Schreiber prefers to live more minimally in his downtown Manhattan loft, who also shared pages in the same InStyle Home issue. A streamlined bathroom includes multiple storage options like sisal baskets, shelves, drawers and cabinets in the James Richards designed "petit appartement." Open shelves in the open kitchen and opaque sliding panels showcase his decidedly minimalist home.
"My mother was a clutter bug" says Schreiber, "so neatness is a neurosis with me."
"The goal," Schreiber says, "is a stripped-down vibe-- there's not a lot of artifice here and definitely not a lot of stuff lying around-- if I sit down and there's a plate on the kitchen counter, I'll go wash the plate. So unless the house is immaculate, I can't focus. I ache to be a minimalist."
Could this be a match made in heaven, hell or in desperate need of a trip to The Container Store?
